WHAT THIS MEANS FOR JEFFCO FAMILIES
Kindergarten is currently not a requirement in Colorado. However, research shows that starting students on their academic path in kindergarten (ages 5-6) http://www.nea.org/home/18180.htm promotes children's enthusiasm, initiative, persistence and engagement in learning.
Starting in August 2019, all full-day kindergarten programs in Jeffco will be free. For some families, this is a savings of almost $3000 a year.
HOW TO ENROLL
1. Log into or create a Jeffco Connect account to establish your student's record or update her or her existing record.
2. After updating information or creating an account go to Enroll Jeffco to enroll in your neighborhood school or apply for a school of your choice.
